Final Fantasy II is a Role-Playing game, developed and published by SquareSoft, which was released in Japan in 1988. This game did not come out in the United States until it was released on the Playstation as part of Final Fantasy Origins in 2004. However that was not the original version, it had all-new event scenes, enhanced graphics, and improved sound.

This game is often confused with Final Fantasy II for the Super Nintendo. That game was called Final Fantasy IV in Japan, however since Final Fantasy II and III did not come out in the US, they named it Final Fantasy II for the US market.
